AIRSHO Grounds

This guide will help you discover the AIRSHO grounds and where aircraft and special attractions are located. For a detaled map and guide, make sure that you pick up an AIRSHO Program when you arrive at the show. This guide is intended to provide an overview only and may not represent the most current information available at the time of AIRSHO.

Aircraft Display Locations

In addition to seeing aircraft in the air and taxi by the flight line, you can also walk among the aircraft, talk with some of the crews, take pictures with the aircraft and in some cases, even tour the aircraft and see the insides of them.

There are two locations for aircraft viewing. The Aircraft Display ramp on the north side of the field is the AIRSHO home to fighters, trainers and other aircraft. The Bomber Ramp on the south side of the field is where all of the large aircraft and bombers are based.

Please make sure that you arrive before the show starts as these ramps are closed once AIRSHO starts for safety reasons.

Food, Water and Restrooms

You will always be able to find food, water and restrooms located at convenient locations along the flight line. Here you will be able to find everything including burgers, ice cream, soft drinks, water and so much more.

Visit the Museum

A tour of the museum is FREE during AIRSHO and an absolute must. Make sure that you save time to visit this world-class museum. You will find the museum located on the grounds of the Commemorative Air Force. You may wish to set aside an hour to visit the entire museum.

Part of the nationally accredited museum includes the museum's Nose Art Gallery, which features the world's largest collection of original WWII aircraft nose art in existence. This collection has been designated as one of America's Treasures.

Gift Shops and Souvenirs

The CAF Gift Shop, located in the lobby of the American Airpower Heritage Museum is also open during AIRSHO. The giftshop has a huge selection of AIRSHO merchandise, memorabilia and souvenirs ~ many of which you won't find anywhere else.

For other souvenirs, you can visit some of the CAF Unix PXs set up on the AIRSHO grounds. THe PXs are operated by individual CAF Wings and Squadrons and offer unique and one-of-a-kind items.

Ground Maps

This map is offered to provide an overview of the AIRSHO grounds and where you will be able to locate important attractions and needs. Please remember that this map is just an overview and the most current grounds map will be found in the AIRSHO Program which you can obtain at AIRSHO.
