Special Guests

Every year, AIRSHO features a number of special guests including important and heroic figures from World War II and beyond. Recent past guests have included Paul Tibbets, George McGovern, Joe Foss, reunion groups and heroes from recent conflicts as well.

2007 ACAHOF Inductees   

William B. Berry, USAAF – B-25 pilot, European Theater. After being shot down, he spent 144 days participating in partisan raids against German targets for which he was awarded the Silver Star.

George Chandler, USAAF – P-38 Ace, Pacific Theater. (CAF French Wing, Pres. Fighter Aces Association)

James M. Davis, USAAF – B-24 pilot with almost 30 missions over Nazi Germany. (CAF)

Colonel Bernard Fisher, USAF (Ret.) – A-1E/H “Spad” pilot with 200 combat sorties in Vietnam. Medal of Honor recipient for landing under enemy fire to rescue his downed wingman

Jim Gray, USAAF – Spitfire pilot with the RAF Eagle Squadron in Britain and North
Africa with over 400 combat hours flown. (CAF Golden Gate Wing)

Capt. N.J. “Dusty” Kleiss, USN – SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber pilot flying off the Enterprise was instrumental in sinking the Japanese aircraft carrier Kaga during the Battle of Midway.

Don McMillan, USN – TBM pilot in the Pacific Theater – Navy Cross. (CAF So. Cal. Wing)

352nd Fighter Group, USAAF – “The Bluenosed Bastards of Bodney” scoring more “aces in a day” than any other P-51 unit.
