Short AIRSHO Video

Aerial dogfights fill the skies and simulated bomb explosions rock the ground as the CAF’s collection of rare classic warbirds reenact the most famous aviation battles of World War II.   From the world-renown Tora pilots who recreate the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, to the crews who skillfully demonstrate the capabilities of their bombers, to aerobatic maneuvers flown by pilots in World War II fighters, to the tributes to the trainers and liaison planes that played crucial roles behind the scenes, AIRSHO brings history to life. Nowhere else in the world will you find a more complete, aerial reenactment of the Second World War.

The Trojan Horsemen

The Trojan Horsemen’s performance will be a “Salute to The Armed Forces of the United States” including a formation aerobatic demonstration routine choreographed to patriotic music.  They will recognize all 5 branches of the armed forces and pay tribute to those veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom with a missing man formation.

Jan Collmer & The FINA Extra 300L

Jan Collmer provides a breathtaking display of aerobatics in the Fina Extra 300L. His aerial ballet never fails to thrill AIRSHO crowds. A snap roll on takeoff causes watchers to gasp because it appears that he has lost control.  After that, he puts his 20-plus years of experience to work, performing awe-inspiring maneuvers such as torque rolls and tail slides.

Modern Military

Although history is the hallmark of AIRSHO, the show would not be complete without the flying of today's finest modern military. Joining the historic warbirds of the CAF will be the F-15E Strike Eagle Demonstration Team. Additionally, as has become tradition, AIRSHO will pair up some of World War II's legendary aircraft with today's most versatile jets. America's finest, from military trainers, to fighters, cargo transports and bombers will be parked on the ramp, ready for inspection.

U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight

AIRSHO will pair up some of World War II's legendary aircraft with today's most versatile fighters and jets. The U.S. Air Force will fly the Heritage Flight with the CAF's P-51 Mustang.

U.S. Navy Tailhook Legacy Flight

The U.S. Navy will also be presenting some of its most important aircraft flying alongside selected CAF World War II naval fighters.
