About the American Combat Airman Hall of Fame

The American Combat Airman Hall of Fame (ACAHOF) was established in 1997 by the Commemorative Air Force. The guidelines for election to the Hall of Fame are simple: any American who served in the air in any war or conflict in a manner that reflects credit upon the United States is eligible.

The annual American Combat Airman Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremony is held on the Thursday preceding the start of AIRSHO.

Each year’s induction banquet is a guaranteed sell-out, so if planning to attend, order tickets early and save yourself the aggravation of missing this wonderful opportunity to meet the heroes of World War II. Some of the previous inductees include Col. "Bud" Anderson, 1st Lt. Hap Halloran, Lt. Gen. Keith Compton, the 19th Bombardment Group, President George H. W. Bush and many others.

Attire and Banquet Information

The American Combat Airman Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will feature a video presentation of each inductee, dinner and entertainment. A plaque commemorating each inductee will also be placed on display in the ACAHOF area of the museum.

Attire for the evening is black tie (optional), military dress or business attire.
