General Aviation (GA) aircraft are encouraged to fly into the CAF High Sky Wing AIRSHO Friday 13 September, Saturday 14 September and Sunday 15 September.

Arrivals

Aircraft inbound to Midland International (MAF) will work with the local ATC for clearance into Class C airspace.  Aircraft should plan to arrive no later than 0900L or after 1200L on 8 September and 1000L on 9-10 September.  The TFR and Airsho waiver go into effect at 0930 on Friday, and 1100 Saturday and 1100 Sunday.

Parking

Aircraft parking will be handled by the FBO, Signature Flight Support.  Expect to park on the ramp south of the terminal.  Signature will have a shuttle between aircraft parking and their main facility.

Admission

Pilots and passengers flying into the Airshow are expected to pay the daily admission price for AIRSHO.  PLEASE GET YOUR TICKKETS ONLINE.

Departure

Following the AIRSHO, departures will begin after Midland Airport Authority conducts a safety check of the airport.  This will take 30 to 45 minutes.  There will be a small window of opportunity between the end of the AIRSHO and before the airfield inspection starts where the Airboss will still control the airspace.  Pilots wishing to leave after the Missing Man formation should be in their aircraft with the engine running and contact the Airboss.  You will be cleared to taxi to the assigned runway and depart Midland’s airspace.
